New Years Eve 2009

Well this year is at an end and I must say it has been a good year. Not without our challenges and disappointments but that is life.  Our dear dog Bear passed away  in October on my 50th birthday, but we still chose to celebrate that milestone in my life. He would've wanted it that way and it still was a special day for me even though we lost a dear friend. There have been many blessings this year, too many to mention but for all I am truely grateful. God has blessed me with a fine husband who supports me in all that I do and I really don't know what I would do without him. We both have been blessed with good health and a steady income. We have a roof over our heads, food in our belly, and clothes on our back.  What more could we really ask for . God has provided for us and I am Grateful.
Thank you Lord for your never ending goodness.  I am looking forward to this New Year and all it has to offer.
Happy New Year to all my Followers, and guests, may this year be filled with blessings and the wisdom and fortitude to face the challenges you may encounter.
God Bless you All

Chistmas Shop at Home

Well we've expanded our Christmas shop to include our kitchen too. We have increased our products
and added more products from another artisan in our area.
Linda makes bees wax candles. She has been a candle maker for years and makes the most beautiful bees wax Christmas tree candles as well as snowmen and other designs. She also designs unique primitive sheep, bears, cats, and reindeer not to mention snowmen and Father Christmas. Her work is a wonderful addition to our little shop giving us more variety in mediums used and design work.
Thanks Linda for coming on board!!!

Bear Bears Best Biscuits

Well last week Bears Best Biscuits had taken their first online order for six bags.
They have also been selling well in our shop at home and at other craft show venues.
So we are very encouraged with our initial results.
Bear Bear would be pleased too!!!

Bear Bears Best Biscuits

This is a photo of our Bear Bear, sadly our dear friend is no longer with us but in honour of him we have decided to name his favorite biscuits after him. I have made all our dogs homemade all natural biscuits using a recipe I have developed over the years. Well Bear and our other two dogs Major & Katie as well as their friends in their social pack , Dakota, Remy, Little Bear, Sadie, Brandie, Riley, Molly, Whiskey, to name just a few in their social circle seem to enjoy them immensely so we are now selling them on our website, Harvest House Primitives.
Visit the link below to get more information on these
biscuits,  according to Bear they are "SCRUMDILLYICIOUS"

Living Room Primitive Shop

Living Room Shop

Well I've moved my products to my living room, and turned the living room into temporary shop! This grand idea came about Thursday afternoon and was put into action that evening.

I have had very little working space in my studio since I mercandised my product in it. It also wasn't the greatest set up from the customers point of view. There was not much room for the customer to move around comfortably so after discussing it with my husband we both agreed that this would be the best solution.

It is working out quite nicely. The customers are coming in the front door right into the living room. They are not walking through my house so the rest of the house is traffic free! My studio is back in order, clean and tidy and ready for work to commence. I have some shows to get ready for a some restocking of my shop.

Take a peek at the pictures. I think it looks great now.

Eventually we will set up our flat screen television to show a slideshow of our work over the years. Maybe I will

have that ready for next week!!!

If you are interested in seeing more of this photos from my living room shop and some of our other work click on this link below http://s522.photobucket.com/albums/w350/angelsharvestdesigns/?albumview=slideshow&newest=1

French Prim Candy Canes

Well I want to introduce one of my new designs. I call these my French Prim Look!
These are coffee stained red toile candy canes.
The large one may be used to hang on a door or a wall and the smaller ones are ornies.
These are so cute, they are trimmed with artificial greenery, a homespun bow, a rusty tin
heart and generously sprinkled with mica flakes.
These are great items for those like myself that love both French Country and Primitive Decor!

These items will soon be posted on my website but in the meantime if anyone has any questions about them please feel free to contact me at Email: info@harvesthouseprimitives.com.
I will include the prices in this post. The large candy cane measures approx. 18 inches in length and it
is priced at $18.00.
The ornies measure approx. 8inches in length and they are prices at $6.00 each
Shipping  is not included.

Studio- Weekend Opening Updates

Well my second weekend studio opening has passed and the third weekend is fast approaching.
I must say that I am very pleased with the results so far.
I have had good sales  in the past two weekends and the feedback has been very encouraging.
I have received several orders for Christmas items and kitchen accessories as well as inquries about custom window treatments. So far I would say, it has been a pleasant and encouraging experience.
